The twelfth issue of Edge of Time hails all things progressive, thought-provoking, and different. The mood is positive, with usual suspects like Psychotic Waltz featured alongside then modestly known progressive metal bands like Divine Regale, Eternity X, Psyco Drama (who later resurfaced in 2015), and Vauxdvihl/Where Echoes End.

The issue includes an interview with early-years Spiral Architect, who later released their phenomenal, one-and-only progressive technical metal album, A Sceptic’s Universe. Their Norwegian progressive colleagues Tritonus were also interviewed—at that time, they only had a demo and finally released a full-length album in 2013. Another rare participant was U.S. band Anomaly, who had just released their sole debut effort, aiming at radio-friendly progressive technical metal and featuring genre masterminds Sean Reinert and Sean Malone of Cynic.
